Sangre De Fruta's inspiration comes from the time-honoured beauty rituals of the Egyptians and ancient remedies passed down through generations. Inspired by a time when life moved a little more slowly. Each botanical tells a story of healing, protection, and sensual indulgence.

The name Sangre De Fruta means “Blood of the Fruit” in Spanish. For Allison and the team, this resonates with how they see the "unknown essence that is at the heart of all things fragrant, beautiful, edible, enjoyable… the mystical element of how and why nature is so powerful."

The Sangre De Fruta logo was hand-drawn by Allison, and also inspired by the ancient Egyptian scarab. The Scarab is a symbol of renewal and rebirth, but on closer inspection, reveals "a thistle nestled within, suggesting both the protective strength of the plant and the lush, secret world inside a fruit."

After years of working in the fashion industry and witnessing firsthand how the industry perpetuates narrow ideals of beauty, Allison Audrey Weldon set out to reimagine what apothecary and self-care can be for people. Sangre De Fruta sources the world’s most precious botanicals to create organic skin and hair-care products that enchant the senses and awaken one’s inner radiance. Transcending toxic beauty trends to promote lasting health and wellness, Sangre De Fruta’s superior plant-based products are conjured from a rich history of holistic health and beauty practices.

With deep respect for the wondrous life force of all living things, the team thoughtfully sources botanicals and handcrafts them in small batches to create sensory potions that nurture, protect and beautifully connect people and nature.

I didn't set out to start a skincare company. I was drawn to the transformative power of scent and the way botanicals can shape how we feel. What began as a pursuit to create products that felt truly luxurious and rooted in nature became Sangre De Fruta - a brand dedicated to ritual, beauty, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

On Bowen Island, I love sitting on the pier at 'Tell Your Friends Cafe' either alone or with the kids running around. Always the best vibes there.

A black leather bomber jacket. It has traveled with me through seasons of life and somehow feels both timeless and comforting.

Paris. I could meander through the streets for an eternity. 

I'm loving 'All We Do' by Oh Wonder. It was a song danced to at my daughter's recent dance show, and the two of us can't get enough.
