1. The Linen Trend
Linen is making a strong comeback again this spring and summer. It’s safe to say that linen is here to stay and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Its a natural go to and a classic staple that we reach for season after season. Favored for its effortless blend of breathability, texture and understated elegance, linen is perfect for those sensitive to the sun's strong rays but chic enough to feel cool (in more ways than one!). Essential for hot days, linen is a wardrobe staple year after year and a practical go to no matter your lifestyle.
Linen Care Tips:
Hand wash with a delicate detergent and air dry your linen either by laying flat or hanging.
Post wash: Linen gets softer with time and with repeated laundering. Don't be discouraged if fabrics feel a little stiff after washing and air drying - it's normal!
Hang your linen up while you shower or steam the piece to relax it and bring it back to life. Don't have time? Simply put it on and head out the door and it will relax throughout the day. Linen is made for everyday, everywhere wear.
2. Not your First Rodeo
Western inspiration is everywhere this spring. We saw its renaissance begin with Beyonce’s world tour and her take on western music and fashion. With Queen Bey’s stamp of approval, the trend took off. Think denim-on-denim sets (Canadian tuxedo anyone?), western embroidery details, cowboy boots, belts and straw hats. 3. Coastal Prep
The nautical trend is making waves this spring. Forget Below Deck - we're inspired by The Talented Mr. Ripley (without the creepy vibes) and the classic stripes and white collared looks worn by Gwyneth Paltrow. The effortless blend of classic maritime style with modern ease has been so refreshing we can already feel the sun and salty air. From chunky fisherman sweaters to coastal stripes and vintage inspired head scarves, these pieces bring a playful yet posh feel to any look. The easy breezy nautical aesthetic is having a moment this season. Ahoy! It’s a sailor's life for us!
4. Summer of Sport
You know what they say, birds of a feather flock together… The same goes for fashion. A cousin of the coastal prep trend is the summer of sport look. Another trend that is certainly putting a prep in our step! Think varsity style rugby shirts, polos, bomber jackets, sporty crew socks and a low profile sneaker. For inspo from the big-screen, we're turning to Love Story from the 1970's, Goodwill Hunting and Matchpoint. Capturing the school spirit of the preppy vibe.
